Patti Thorstenson started writing policies in 2009, and the practice has been built on referrals ever since.

Patti spent her first sixteen years as a captive agent at American National, where she learned the trade end to end, auto, home, life, annuities, commercial. In 2025 she founded Legacy Insurance Group as an independent agency so she could shop the wider market on her clients' behalf, instead of writing whatever the home office had on the shelf.

The result is the same agent her clients have always known, with a large inventory of insurance companies to choose from behind her. The handshake didn't change. The shelf got bigger.

What we do
when we're not at the office.

Patti and her husband Brad have five children, five in-loves, and seven grandchildren. They are the why and the joy in their lives. Patti and Brad are very active in their church and community. They founded Imago Dei Maternity Home, a local maternity home ministry for single women with nowhere to live, and they host a women's Bible study and a home group in their home. They enjoy boating, horses, hiking, and time with friends and family in our beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Faith, family, and the outdoors aren't a marketing angle here, they're the reason the agency carries the name Legacy, and the reason a verse from Proverbs sits on the back of every business card.
